It’s been five years that Audio88 & Yassin hit a scene with their LoFi- debut “Zwei Herrengedeck, bitte“ which didn’t really wait for them and which they would have never chosen for themselves. The two Berlin rappers consider the remaining German HipHop mainly wack and a big part of their music revolves around this evaluation. If social criticism and observations of daily life weren’t such corny vocabularies they would probably paraphrase relatively good what the explicit attitude of Audio88& Yassin is essentially about. Company Flow meets Westberlin Masculine, dirty Boombap meets unwieldy Art- Rap- constructs. Numerous Collab- Remix- and Soloprojects emerged in the past few years. Their new album “Normaler Samt“ was released in Spring 2015 on Heart Working Class.
